Song Parodies -> Liberal Stings (yike, no end to them)
| Original Song Title: | "England Swings (like a pendulum)" |
| Original Performer: | Roger Miller |
| Parody Song Title: | "Liberal Stings (yike, no end to them)" |
| Parody Written by: | Barry J. Mitchel |
Democratic candidates for U.S. President would bring universal health care, kindergarten tolerance training, and retreat from the Middle East. The Mamas and Papas were not alone in spreading "freedom" in the 1960s; they just fit the original lyrics after I switched the 2nd and 4th stanzas at http://www.jackiechankids.com/files/Song%20Lyrics.htm .
Hillary swings from Poll 1 to Poll 2.
Hobby's to buy single moms their due.
Women are happy, they're tired of pig men,
Disposed-of by leaks through this bitter shrill hen.
Mamas and the Papas turned Americans brash,
Calling out its social ills, pitting class with class.
Tryin' to walk the path they walked, run to catch the train;
Aping now the rapper men with language so profane.
Obama brings up sex-ed pre-Grade 2;
"Bobby is bi-sexual, might be you."
Pest spinsters crabby and dour prig men
Oppose him with shrieks, "Not such little children!"
So if you've had enough and you're finally off your duff,
Pony up to save your family from this trip to tyranny.
Take a tip but don't forsake and flip.
Let me tell you what to do: vote Republican, oh.
John Edwards flings bucks to tend his hairdo,
Lobbies for trials, says "America's two."
He won't be flabby or cowardly when
Bombs blow while he sneaks to his victual-filled den.
My keyboard sings as I type this for you:
Sophistry wry, slick but truthful, too.
Though I'm not gabby, the power of this pen
Discloses and speaks of my inner villain.

I know what you mean, man.
This was weak, not funny, and way off base about what liberals (and conservatives) actually believe. And that's being very conservative with my criticism.
I thought it was right, both -wing and on the money! Never mind what my little brother thinks! Yee-haw!
