I acknowledge that inspiration therefor came from a souvenir T-shirt design popular in beach resort areas (and available online @ ChoiceShirts.com) showing a flamingo suntanning himself under caption "Sand of the Free!"
There are obvious times when We, The People need
To get away from the nonsense and the prolefeed,
To just ignore the ilk of Rush Limbaugh,
Michael Savage and all of Fox Prolefeed--
CHORUS:
Waves of the crazed,
Sand of the free!
Listen up, Fox Prolefeed,
Why can't you let us be?
So much for your platitudes and your bromides
About Our Beloved Nation going to the dogs
Unleashed by your so-called "New World Order;"
America, sadly, is not the whole world!!
(repeat CHORUS)
One thing I can think of towards health-care reform
Is in the vein of the "pre-emptive," I know:
Allowing us some time for vacation,
And if you have it @ work, just use it or lose it!!
(repeat CHORUS)
And what would preclude especially the basket cases
Who probably need vacation more than they know
From, perhaps, getting, some social assistance
Just as they do in the "decadent" Europe?!
(repeat CHORUS)
And aren't there studies out there which can confirm
That those who take vacations can actually work better,
And more productive, if I may say so;
Wouldn't such save us lots in health expenses?
(repeat CHORUS)

The Exaggerator--a thinking blog (with online shopping) in and for these ignorant and superstitious times, opinionated in its own gnarly sort of way....

Another example of why choruses should be repeated, makes the song a lot easier to read. "Home of the Brave" is a rather obscure song where I come from. Interesting to see someone finding this great 1960's protest number and using it for a new protest.
No doubt well executed and scored accordingly (I'm not the "1" troll). Let's just say we agree to disagree. ;D
