The Lyrics

Thanks to my teenage son who could provide details from a couple of the games.
I lost my gal, my dog has died and yet i’m having fun.
Who would have thought through all the pain that you would be the one?
There have been lots of others, but they didn’t last as long,
So it’s to you, my only love that I will sing this song.

Nintendo, nintendo, you bring joy to me.
No sony playstation or x-box three sixty
Sega’s an outcast to my game playing life,
I’d rather have you than some nagging wife.

I’ll wear a green tunic to save my zelda fair,
Shoot arrows, sling the hook shot, any tool to get me there.
Swing my sword and slashing, attacking with aplomb
If none of those can kill them, i’ll just use a bomb.

Alligators threaten me, and muscle men with might
They’d pose a real problem, but for kirby’s appetite.
Captain k. rule will attack, for victory he’s giddy.
I’d be lost except for my bud – precious little diddy.
