We're clearly saddened by our great loss;
No more Fido for whom a bone to toss.
Though we adored him as our favourite pet,
We agree that now he's dead we'll have him mounted!
Reclaim the mem'ries of yesterday!
Playing with our puppy all through the day!
Our fond mem'ries are the warmest,
We will say to the taxidermist,
"Well done, Mister Stuff-My-Pet!"
From both our son and daughter one hears the restless cries!
From ev'ry corner of the house: "Why'd he have to die?"
We try our best to soothe them and and ease their tortured pain!
We hope that they'll be glad with our stuffed puppy on a chain!
No more the frisky cuddley loveable pet!
At least we'll never have to visit the vet!
