Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"How You Do View Deuteronomy"

Parody Written by:

Alvin Rhodes

The Lyrics

how do you view deuteronomy ?
does it ring true ?
its a clue to your jew history
and rulings for you

i'm rootin' through deuteronomy
that's nothin' new
when i'm blue, wow, it does it for me
its a trick, tried and true

i find so appealin', very part
straight and narrow...you must do it
this prose, so succinct, lifts my heart
if you ain't read it, try wadin' through it

i flew right through deuteronomy
pentateuchal views
i am rapt..no psalms for me
just this book will do
can i chew it with you ?

Gotta be the first D. parody on the site. Fives for "pentatechal." Just learned that though it's the fifth book of the OT, it's called the second, but the second refers to the second statement of the Mosaic law. First-class parody. I know what I'll be reading when I retire at 10:00 tonight.

I read the whole book, and it's still English-translated-ancient-Hebrew to me!

For an OS with short lyrics you've sure got a lot of very clever replacements here. Excellent job! 5's ~ ~ ~
