Song Parodies -> "Go Twitter Yourself"

Original Song Title:

"Consider Yourself"

Original Performer:

From Broadway show, "Oliver"

Parody Song Title:

"Go Twitter Yourself"

Parody Written by:

Airfarcewon

The Lyrics

Go Twitter yourself, my friend
Go Twitter yourself, be a celebrity
Get glitter, yourself, and shine
Go Twitter yourself and tweet on mine

Nice critter, yourself, you know
So flitter yourself..just like a bumblebee
Right here is your chance..to gleam
Grab on and Twitter yourself a dream

Let anonymity cease to be,
Your port a' call
Be no more a' small..shy mouse
Here is your fame fifteen,
So, sparkle and flaunt your sheen
Twitter tweets and take some bows...

Go Twitter youself, old chum
Pumps self esteem up-plus..
As you bask in the Twitteration, you'll become
A Twittering twert just like us..

A Twittering twert just like us..

Well executed parody, AFW! It's been awhile since I've seen "Oliver" and forgotten what a great movie that was! Like TT, nice of you to write a musical-based parody! Tweeting you 5's for this one! I've got to get a Twitter account someday!

Is this really the first Amiright parody of this original song? And is this the first Amiright parody that pokes fun at twittering? If so, that is quite an accomplishment to achieve those two "firsts" with one parody. And to do a clever parody as well!

I think this musical has a lot of songs that are excellent parody material; but, AFW, I commend you for being the first on this one.

Thanks much, John...I believe there may have been a couple others with Twittering themes...but can't recall their titles
