I got Mermaid's Curse, it's genetic a disorder
It hits me everytime when I try to go to bed -
no mam, I won't breathe and soon I'd end up dead

- It ain't just sleep apnea - no, it is something worse
I can't go asleep with the Mermaid's Curse!

When the others hit the hay I will prepare for dormation
I sleep in iron lung and it is no celebration
When I fall asleep, the machine will breathe for me -
whithout it, a nap could soon be a fatal dream

- I need a ventilator or an alert to a nurse
It's a pain to try to sleep with the Mermaid's Curse!

At work and home I'm fine but I cannot have vacation
I can't find a hotel which could arrange ventilation
I'm not trapped in my home, but I must be back at nine
My kid's say "Hey mom, you too have a strict bedtime"

- At least it can be treated and there's no need for the hearse
It could be much more worse than just Mermaid's Curse!
