The Lyrics

This parody is dedicated to Arnie and all the other characters that brought the Terminator films to life. (If you have not seen the 3rd film, and want to, do not read)
A long, long time before
our planet was destroyed
and the machines tried to take control

There was an evolving time when
the world was ran by working men
and new technologies were practical.

But then a machine and a stray kid
both arrived completely naked.

Arnold found some leather.
The man escaped the weather.

That fella's name was Kyle Reese
sent back from the future to increase
Miss Sarah Connor's chance for peace
so that she would not die...Oh...

My, my, Terminator design.
He's a human-killing cyborg.
Call this cyborg divine.
Model one-oh-one, thought up by Cyber-dyne.
Came from the year 2029.
The year 2029.

Did you know that this young man
knew the future before it began.
He has helped Sarah foresee.

Ah, did you hear Sarah's story of
how she was scared, but now in love
with this man who'd soon give her a baby.

Well, I heard about how Kyle died.
And it's likely that my mother cried.

He blew up that machine,
but it still has not left the scene.

My mother turned and crawled away with dread.
Then she pushed a button and she crushed his head.
But like her deceased love once said,
This thing will never die...And I am thinkin...

My, my Terminator arrived.
When he tried to kill my mother,
Kyle Reese took the dive.
Our technology is where this cyborg derived.
Tell me, where did Arnold learn how to drive?
Where did Arnold learn how to drive?

Now years have gone, and I grew up fast.
My childhood has just been surpassed.
Those younger days were terrible.

Both my foster parents were a pain.
And my mom was classified insane.
My life was just so unbearable.

Oh, but then one day, I'm at the mall.
A man and a cop start a brawl.

And later I will see
That cop was after me.

He was the T-1000 from the war
that I would soon be fighting for.
Arnold's the same one from before.
But now he's the good guy...Now I'm thinkin...

My, my, Terminator arrived.
First he tried to kill my mother,
but my mother survived.
Now he's on my side after being revived.
So I taught him how to give a high five.
Taught him how to give a high five.

Got my mother from her loony-dwelling.
She was in the middle of rebelling.
My new buddy made her jump.

We met up with the new machine.
He seemed to have had too much caffeine,
cause he chased us much faster than Forrest Gump.

Well, to make a longer story short.
Miles blew himself up to show support.

We watched the bad guy burn.
Oh, then Arnold said with concern.

Oh, I am sorry there's no time for joy.
There's one more chip you must destroy.
I have to go, you silly boy.
Now please, just let me fry...I started thinkin...

My, my Terminator good bye.
You once tried to kill my mother.
Now you are an ally.
And when I looked glum, you told me in reply,
I think now I understand why you cry.
Now I understand why you cry.

Oh, as I grew up, I popped some pills.
Broke into pet clinics for thrills.
But a girl soon had me caged.

As we talked, I found out her name was Kate.
And we would soon learn that our fate
would transpire us to one day get engaged.

A woman came all dressed in red.
She bent over where I had bled.

She tasted it and knew
that I had been there, too.

My future wife then tried to run away.
She was pursued to her dismay.
Then the Terminator saved the day
just in the nick of time...I was thinkin...

My, my Terminator's the guy.
He's the machine from the future
we can always rely.
And when I'm at risk, he will always drop by,
claiming he's here to make sure I don't die.
He's here to make sure I don't die.

We drove away from the T-X.
The new machine of the other sex.
She's one chick you won't wanna meet.

She chased us in a firetruck.
And when I thought we were outta luck,
Arny flipped her upsidedown onto the street.

We visited my mother's grave.
Then met Kate's dad, whom we could not save.

His machines went haywire.
The city was on fire.

Then we took off to a secret place.
That deadly babe was able to trace.
Then we saw Terminator's face.
That man is really sly...Then I was thinkin...

My, my Terminator was right.
That new lady was a toughy,
but she just lost the fight.
And if that T-X was a bit more polite.
Maybe she would not have blown outta sight.
She would not have blown outta sight.

Now I'm thinkin...

My, my guess your father had lied.
Thought we came here to be heroes,
but we came here to hide.
Now what do we do
as bombs explode worldwide?
Guess we'll wait for the sequel to provide...
Ok, if you do not know the movies too well, some of this parody you won't understand. I just cannot wait for the fourth movie to come out!! "I'll be back..."

Sorry but this ticks me off. I spent weeks on this song making sure that the pacing was EXACT...I even sung my version over again and again to make sure that the pacing is perfect. Yet someone still gave me a three for pacing. I don't care what you put in the other columns, but give me credit for my pacing!

Thought this parody was great!!!! Right up there with the pacing and the combination of all three movies add up to one terrific parody!
Diva - August 19, 2003 - Report this comment
I thought you did an excellent job!

Never seen any of the three -- except for "Twins," I have never willingly seen any Ahnold movie, not even Mr. Freeze in "Batman and Robin." And yet, I liked it. That's what I call a tribute.

I don't want to sound nasty or anything, but wasn't American Pie a 70s song?

Actually, I had trouble with one of the first lines (with evolving)...I thing the pacing works, "evolving" just sounds weird with the meter at that point. So for that, you deserve a ONE in pacing! HAHAHA! Just kidding, maybe a four, and I'm probably the one who's off, and not you. Anyway, I thought the song was excellent, and it was obvious (to me) that you put a lot of time into it. Great job!

Go Bob! Loved it. American pie is quite hard to do, and you did some great lyrical gymnastics. Also liked the changing of the chorus.

That was amazing, I love Terminator and your song is the best American Pie parody I've ever seen, I really hope you'll record it.
