The Lyrics

Like so many Burt Bacharach / Hal David songs, this is really hard to sing well; singing it as I wrote gave me great new respect for Dionne Warwick. But when she hosted those "Psychic Friends Network" infomercials, she became fair game.
At night when I wake up,
I wonder how soon we'll break up.
A psychic friend is there for me.
And if I'm not sleepy,
I may get a little weepy.
A psychic friend is there for me.

Whenever, whenever, I'm feeling forlorn, and really used, oh,
Whenever, whenever, I really am torn,
and I can't choose, oh,
Whenever, whenever, I get on the horn,
she can't refuse, oh
I'm glad someone's out there for me.

I say I'm upset, now;
She asks if I'm deep in debt, now!
A psychic friend is there for me.
She knows all about it!
So how could I ever doubt it?
A psychic friend is there for me.

Whenever, whenever, I open a phone
bill, then I know that
Whatever, whatever, I'll take out a loan,
and still I know that
I never, I never, will be left alone
till I don't owe that
and yet, she's still there for me.

My psychic, relieve me.
For me there is no one but you.
Please help me through!
I'm in debt for you.
Answer my call, maybe
I can pay you too.

I'll bet Ms Cleo knew you were going to write this.

I predict this will do well.

You brought up a very good point about Bacharach/David songs: they are not always that easy to sing well due to their complicated chord schemes. Considering that fact, it was excellent.

This could out a smile on Dionne's face.

Betsy - Very fine job - I rolled my magic "Eight Ball" down the hall and it said; " Paul, don't stall, give this all 'fives', y'all..."
