Alvin - This parody made me recall when I saw CCR play at this play in Santa Monica called "The Cheetah" way back when. It was REALLY a long time ago and I THINK they were 2nd bill that night to some group that soon became total forgotten. "Cheetah" burned down, as I recall, not too much later...A lot of the fun of this site for me is that all these old songs & titles help me dredge thru my doddering memory banks for trivia about the bands/songs/etc...where was I when & what I was doing there and why the HELL was I doing that???

Any parody of this song is an improvement over the original. In fact, I was listening to Bobby Sherman as I read it, just so I didn't get it going thru my head... ;-)
