The Lyrics

This song was covered by the Beatles.
Cave: the mayor he was holed up in a cave
Drinkin’ pricey wine exclusively
So-o, these cave of bucks excluded me

Caves are places where favors are exchanged
It’s a rack-room deal in secrecy
So-o, I say big bucks paid to Mayor Petey, yeah!

Some say Pete is just a whelp who
Should not drink wine
True, some folks love him
But other snarl, “He’s swigging in that…

Cave. The mayor squeaked “Bottoms up”! in that cave
Drinkin’ vintage wine that’s quite pricey
So-o, was he way drunk, young mayor Petey, huh?

“Now I am gonna try to shame you
This wasn’t meet
You must’ve kissed ’em
To have been paid big bucks inside that…

Cave. I’m gonna bring that up when I rave
Up here on the stage for all to see.”
(Oh yeah, this cave thing’s a stunt cooked up by me.

[That last line I copped from Rick Perry]

Paid, paid big bucks
Cave of bucks
Cravin' bucks

BTW, one of my older siblings bought the Beatles album that contained "Chains.", which I thought was really good. Half the songs on that album were covers -- "Chains", "Boys", "A Taste of Honey", "Twist and Shout", "Misery". Of course, the best song was "I Saw Her Standing There."
