| Parody Song Title: | "(Who, Who, Who) Dropped that Log on the Floor?" |
| Parody Written by: | Rod Worden |
We have 6 cats in our house. I wrote this for all of you out there who are similarly afflicted. You know who you are.
Just flew in from Pontiac
With an aching sacro-iliac
Kick off my shoes
Look around, for the cats
Something bad is stinkin'
Pretty soon I'm thinkin'
(Who, Who, Who) dropped a log on the floor?
Those cat tracks up the curtain
weren't there before I'm certain
Look at all the brand new scratches
On that leather chair!
Smell, gonna try to find it
My toes I hope won't grind it
(Who, Who, Who) dropped that log on the floor?
Bailing-wire and bubble wrap
On the tile, and also sand!
Round a corner I slide
And take a ride
in poo
Doo Doo Doo!
I'm in the pile a yellin'
And the cats they're not a-tellin'
(Who, Who, Who) dropped this log on the floor?
(guitar break)
Coffee beans and collard greens
All strewn around the place
But I need a mop
Where I took my flop
in poo
Doo Doo Doo
It's no time for debatin'
But can't help contemplatin'
(Who, Who, Who) dropped that log on the floor?
(guitar break)
Crawling to the back porch door
Pick myself up off the floor
Look at all the smilin' kitters
Gathered now around!
Straight faces, apropos
Guess I'll never know
(Who, Who, Who) dropped that log on the floor?
With an aching sacro-iliac
Kick off my shoes
Look around, for the cats
Something bad is stinkin'
Pretty soon I'm thinkin'
(Who, Who, Who) dropped a log on the floor?
Those cat tracks up the curtain

Why didn't they use the litterbox? 5's
Thanks, Johnny. Our youngest cat thinks it's funny to sneak up on the others when they're in the box, wait until their 'bidness' commences, and then ATTACK.
Is that what yours does when you turn on the vacuum?
Hi, Rick! Don't know, we no longer vacuum the litter boxes.
I'm lucky that I even made it through the parody...I was laughing heartily enough at just the title!! FABulous!! 5-5-5!
Good job! This was hilarious!
Every line was excellent.
Rod, I USED to have a cat and I still like them. Great parody. If you know Gordon Lightfoot's "Bitter Green" you might like my parody, "Litter Green" on this site. The complaint there is from the cat's point of view...
This one hits home! Good job, and the original song is a great choice for those lyrics!
Thanks, Arwen and Meriadoc, glad it made you laugh! Thanks also, John, Paul, and Mari for stopping by. So many tunes, so little time.
Rob, here late, but I had a good time with it too!
Thanks, Peregrin. Late?? I didn't find this site until last month, I'm over 20,000 parodies behind! There are some real gems in there.
It was the dark of the Moon on the 6th of June, and a Kenworth, pulling logs.
Whut?
DKTOS, but I got a kick out of the lyrics!
OMG if everyone else is late, I must be ancient! Loved it ! Although mine wasn't a leather chair but brand new re-upholstered one! Still have cats! Best
Jeff: Thanks, bro!
Pat: Good for you, friend. I, too, would take my cats over furniture any day.
