"Larry Popper's Only Arts Club Banned"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

It was in the Easter break last year
Larry Popper had a great idea
He was drinking in his local pub
When he thought about a brand new club

But now we have to break the news
A fact that’s brought on lots of tears
Larry Popper’s only arts club banned!

Poor Larry Popper’s only arts club banned
We think that it’s a crying shame
Larry Popper’s only arts club banned
We want to find out who’s to blame
Larry Popper’s arts club, Larry Popper’s arts club
Larry Popper’s only arts club banned

The club was really buzzing
With people posing nude
It had a growing membership
They liked to show their portraits off
They loved to take them home

And now someone’s gone and closed it down
But the news is going round the town
That the members will start up anew
So it seems there’s hope for me and you

And if you really do like art
There’s every reason to take heart
Though Larry Popper’s only arts club’s banned

Now this is completely original. Some of your initial efforts were only making minimal changes to the OS (original song), so I didn't make any response. This is what I'd call a "complete hijack." That, I think, is the essence of song parody -- you pirate the original melody, and sub in completely different lyrics that perfectly match the melody and the rhyming patterns of the old song ....... And, I think, you get extra points if the substitute words more or less rhyme with the original words while turning the original words on their head
