The Lyrics

Inspired by a true story; I saw this person do it. As the song says, she laughed at herself and smiled throughout, as it got more and more stunning. I originally tried to do "Bowled Seventeen" to "At Seventeen" but just couldn't make the words fall; much like these pins. I got halfway, then decided on this easier one. to much time in the other trying to talk about the cheerful demeanor and having fun, and whlie I don't think you have to have the same tone in the parody asi in the original, I do think this was one time saying less was best; unlike story songs, where you want to spread it out.
Seventeen,
Oddest score that I had ever seen.
Hard to fathom just what you could mean,
How could you bowl
a seventeen?

Basketball,
Maybe if some of your shots would fall.
Or your team hit lots over the wall,
Seventeen runs,
Can be baseball.

But how could that be? You weren’t three,
There when you bowled.
Did you try to kick, or use sticks,
The ball to ho-o-old?

Gravity
Should make at least some pins fall, you see.
Unless each pin had a steel body
Like Alan Funt’s
Fun trickery.

I’m glad you know fun’s number one,
And joy you glean.
You could keep a smile all the while
Through seventee-ee-een

Seventeen.
Was the ball grabbed off a putting green?
I’m a bad bowler, but none’s so lean.
Glad you can laugh
At seventeen.
Alan Funt, by the way, refers to a Candid Camera segment at a bowling alley. The pins were made of something that made the ball bounce right off the head pins into the gutter when it hit.

I've never scored that low in bowling, but could never get above 121. 555 pins for ya.

My lowest score, btw, was 47. The best bowling I do is either on the Wii or breakfast time. You may have only witnessed a 17, but your song is worth 12 strikes, or 555 shoe rentals.

Never bowled(except at breakfast, Lord LaCroix) but now I love it on the Wii game that my niece/nephew got for Xmas !! This is great for those rainy days. It really 'sounds' like a bowling alley, too! Also, love the hilarious 'running cows' game . . .
