The Lyrics

this is the medley that begins with Golden Slumbers and includes Carry That Weight, You Never Give Me Your Money, The End, plus, as an added bonus, Her Majesty, and if you act now, you get at no additional cost, THE DRUM SOLO!
Would you try these eggs, color of emerald?
Would you try this ham, color of grass?
You can kiss my ass now, Sam I Am
I do not like green eggs and ham

Even with a fox, I would not try them
Even in a box, I would not dare
I don't really care now, Sam I Am
I will not eat green eggs and ham

Try them once, and just maybe
You may like them, wait and see
Take it from your old pal, Sam I Am
I'm sure you'd like green eggs and ham

Just to shut you up, I guess I'll try them
Silly little pup, I'll take a chance
Then you can just dance out, Sam I Am
I'll try your dumb green eggs and ham

Oy, these green eggs and ham are great
More on my plate, one more time
Oy, these green eggs and ham are great
More on my plate, one more time

You said you never would eat them
I said if only you would just try them
And now you find that you really like them
So chow down

Oy, these green eggs and ham are great
More on my plate, one more time
Oy, these green eggs and ham are great
More on my plate, one more time

Oh yeah, alright
I'll pig out on green eggs and ham
Tonight

(thump thump thump thump thump
bada bada bomp thump thump thump thump thump
bada bada bomp bada bada bomp
bada bada bada bada bomp
thump thump thump thump thump
bada bada bomp thump thump thump thump thump
bada bada bomp bada bada bomp
bada bada bada bada bomp
thump thump thump thump thump thump thump)

Green eggs
And ham
From Sam
I Am

Green eggs
And ham
From Sam
I Am

Green eggs
And ham
From Sam
I Am

GAK!

And in the end
Was killed by Sam
Should not have tried green eggs
And ham
Ah - aaaahh

That Sam I Am's a rascally guy
Got his friend to try green eggs and ham
That Sam I Am's a devilish guy
And I'm pretty sure his soul is damned
I wanna tell ya if he comes up to you
Better run away from nasty Sam I Am
Cause Sam I Am's a devious guy
Just say no to his green eggs and ham, oh yeah
Shun Sam I Am's green eggs and ham
yes, i AM that friggin crazy :-P

Alright, bring the straight jacket. Anyone who parodies a drum solo should definitely be hauled away. You've qualified for your section 8 discharge. Nice reference to "GAK", a staple of the Klingon diet.

You need help, not with making parodies though. An excellently fun read.

This parody has inspired me to write a parody opera of Horton Hears a Who to the music of The Who. This was hilarious! I gave you all 5's!

sloatead - Congrats on your "Appreciation week". I've been remiss about checking a lot of your stuff out and just rolled over thru the link on the "Messageboard" page to your song titles. I liked this one for sure. Short of time today but will check out more in future. Thanks.

Was this inspired by the movie 'I Am Sam' at all? The film included various artists covering Beatles songs on the soundtrack, and the hero (Sean Penn) was a mentally disabled guy wanting custody of his daughter. His name was Sam, and one of their favourite books was 'Green Eggs & Ham'! Very clever!

actually, that's just a coincidence, never saw the movie, but i have a promo version of the cd. what inspired it is, in a roundabout way, the grinch. i couldn't come up with a good parody of that, so i did green eggs and ham instead. thanks all for the comments and the votes

First of all, the OS "Golden Slumbers" made me cry a whole lot. But, when they way you made a parody out of it, it was funny. You turned a sad song into a comedy. I also enjoyed reading "Green Eggs and Ham" as a tyke. I even split my sides when you parodied the drum solo. Now I can't stop laughing! It reminded me of the movie "I Am Sam" with Sean Penn and Dakota Fanning, especially Sean Penn reading that book to his daughter. I was also thinking of this episode of "Hysteria" where Loud Kiddington tried to get George Bush Senior to eat broccoli and parodied "Green Eggs". The other night, I saw Ned's Declassified where Ned did a book report on "Green Eggs and Ham" (quoting): "I read a book called Green Eggs and Ham. It's about a guy named Sam who doesn't like ham. Who doesn't like ham? If you've read the book, Sam-I-Am is the one who LIKES the ham. The other guy doesn't." Very comedic parody. 555!!!
