Weird Al didn't actually fight over this parody Rob, it was Lady GA GA's publisher that would not allow Al to do the parody, but Lady GA GA approved wholeheartedly about letting him do it. The story is on Weird Al's website. and I approve wholeheartedly with your parody too! 5's! :-)
WCJ, you are correct, it was first seen as in bad taste and passed on but later GaGa saw it and approved. The parody video is hilarious to us Little Monsters who get all the "in" jokes that others not familiar with won't get.
