The Lyrics

This one is for Peter Anderson's One Week Notice challenge (Week 23) this time hosted once again by yours truly! Miley might love going to Malibu, California BUT hates going to this frigid wasteland!
Wanted to go to the beach... But this beach is froooooozen
In this igloo I'm so bored
Chillin' my buns but I wanted them tanned
But you brought me here...
So I'll throw a freakin' fit!
Don't know how to ski...
I'm so sick of your sh*t!

Caught in this ice skating rink, This trip is a scam!
My boyfriend is gloatin' he's a beast at Elf Bowlin'
I'll split while he gets a spare
And go get fanned in the sand

Can't stand this land...
Penguin zoo
My skin turned blue
Near Caribou
Curse words flew
Yelled: "Screw you dude!"
Hate showshoes... (Chilly!)

We'll chuck snowballs around so cold they're shoooooooocking
Grip onto your Bowie Knife while Polar Bear mooooooocking
Made my complaints transparent, Wanted to sail
Coping by rolling in flames, You think I'm deranged
You hearing me cuss... While watching whales
With my glove made a fist
As I hear my socks squish
I'll smack your face with this fish

I'm not supposed to be this cold... Right now in Juuuuuune!
This weather is like Christmas Eve, dude
Your pee in the snow spells "Miley"
I'll still sneer. No, I won't swoon

Hawaiian plan's
Down the loo
Mind has loose screws
With Caribou
Get a clue!
Far from seduced
Hugged a moose... (Stinky!)

Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuughhhhhhh..... Uuuuuugh, Uuuuuugh...
Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuughhhhh.... Uuuuugh, uuuugh, uuuuuugh....

Need a noose
Or more Grey Goose
I'm not diffused (Angry!)
I'll vamoose!

We're spelunking in caves while in the Great North
Sometimes I hear those wolves howling and hope that they'll eat me
Babe, I wanna shank you while wrapped in this scarf
Sled rides make me barf
That's it! We're through!
F*ck Caribou!

A little confusing here--I guess you mentioned it in the forum thread, but I didn't know of Caribou as a geographical place, but as a moose-or-deer-kinda animal, so I didn't quite know what was going on at first. Even then it felt a bit thrown together, yet the humor from the angst was very apparent. 555

Caribou isn’t a place but a spieces of animal that LIVES in a cold place. Miley isn’t complaining about being IN caribou but AROUND caribou. I guess I could have made this easier to comprehend but I didn’t realize that it was difficult to comprehend...

@ Agrimorfee: Maybe he's clowning a bit with us? Note that he spelled "showshoes" where you'd expect "snowshoes", he-he! :-)

Not sure Miley's the kinda girl I'd wanna warm back up, but 555 frostbites for the cool effort.

Thanks Rob! Which of these Caribou locations would also have native caribou living there? I mean outside of a zoo. I’m assuming the ones in Canada?

Historically, woodland caribou inhabited the forests of the Northern United States from Maine to Washington State, but have been reduced to one small herd in the Selkirk Mountains of northern Idaho, eastern Washington and southern British Columbia. This last U.S. herd is reduced to approximately 40 members that tend to stay mostly in the Canadian part of its range.~ Defenders of Wildlife

I found this to be a perfect balance between "Mother Nature sucks" and "my boyfriend is the worst kind of idiot", absolutely hilarious stuff. 555!

The U-69 also sank the passenger ferry SS Caribou on the night of October 13/14, 1942.

U know what I herd? Caribou is another name for reindeer
Rob Arndt - February 10, 2018 - Report this comment
Reindeer and caribou are actually the same species, Rangifer tarandus, but there are substantial differences between the two. Caribou are large, wild, elk-like animals which can be found in northern North America and Greenland and have never been domesticated. Reindeer are slightly smaller and were domesticated in northern Eurasia about 2000 years ago. There are still some wild populations of reindeer found in Eurasia but they are best known as a domesticated animal. Today, they are still herded by many Arctic peoples in Europe and Asia who depend on the reindeer for almost everything in their economy including food, clothing and shelter. ~ PolarTrec

The Finns, Soviets, and Germans all used reindeer in WW2 for transport of food, equipment, and weapons with ammo.

U know what else I herd? Sheep. I'm a shepherd. From Germany. Which makes me a German shepherd, Dawg. Sheesh, did anyone catch the pun in my previous post, or did you think I just misspelled heard
