Had to YouTube the OS... I like 'em/it! And the parody? --a brilliant bit o' dog'gerel! (Nice you didn't go for the easy Pooch-piddlin' get with Fountains of Wayne...)
"To be or not" was random, but so was "You're a dog, and I'm not", and I loved that about this parody that line just made me giggle. "You're a dog and I'm not".
Also had to find a youtube for the OS, upon which god-awful mess your parody is a huge improvement. Loved the "rolled 'round in something ..." bit -- had a Beagle years ago who managed to be lovable despite a predelection for rolling in was cat sh!t. A full (and only slightly hyperbolic) descripttion of that dog, written shortly after his demise (of natural causes) in 1986. can be read at http://www.amiright.com/parody/misc/gilbertsullivan70.shtml :-)
(Artistry) Seemed a bit bland, and I doubt letting your dog smoke pot is a good idea, but this paced pretty well, and had some interesting lines.
(Artistry) Your dog on pot: "All you've got is cat food? I'll take it, man, I'm starvin'." The dog on pot image was the highlight of the parody, I wonder how this one would have turned out with that as the main focus -- "'Cause you're a dog -- and on pot".
(Artistry) That was absolutely wonderful Agrimorfee--I wasn't expecting any gems in this round because of the simplicity of the original artist--you really put a smile on my face with this one. What's interesting is the line that got the biggest giggle out of me was near the beginning "You're a dog, and I'm not--without a doubt" Stating the obvious just really worked because it kinda satires TOS without directly naming it or the artist and while still sticking to your own theme. . .awesome job-cute parody, and still funny all the same.
