Gabriella was avoiding
Everyone around New Year's
'Til she met up with Troy Bolton.
They sang "Something New," I hear.
Then they gave each their phone number,
But they were of rival cliques;
Sharpay was so jealous
'Cos the exchange just made her sick!

Stanza II.
She put in a paper clipping
Of one she'd named Einsteinette!
Suddenly, the two were slipping
Off to tryouts, you can bet!
But I hear that Troy's too late
To take part in the whole audit,
Then a twist in fate:
Right soon, they've nailed every bit!

So Darbus overheard them
And a callback they received!
But Sharpay's ears would hear them
And she quickly grieved!
The B-ball team soon found out
And they were quickly shocked!
They devised a plan;
Pretty soon, Troy now was blocked!

When she heard Troy didn't care

Stanza III.
Sadly, callbacks now were pushed back
To the day East might take state
In B-Ball and academics.
But again, a twist in fate!
They disrupted board and contest
And in singing ne'er were lame!
Soon they got the lead roles
And East just won the B-Ball game!

Such became East High School's song!
Troy sang with great distinction;
Gabi sang along!
