Parody Song Title:

"Plotting All Angles"

Parody Written by:

Um, I don't like math. At all. And starting next year, I'm going to have it double-a-day for 4 semesters. College credit can visit Mianus; nothing is worth sitting on your bum for 2 hours daily wondering what the bald man up front is on about. Oh well, I'm thinking that I'll just resort to spinning protractors on my finger during the boring parts.
I need the sine and volume of the sphere
All of this - lies! I see no math in my future career
Don't want to know the homework we are assigned
'Cause I see me frowning over where to plot that line

Now my eraser's chafed and quadrant eight is still ahead
My calculator breaks and my pen's out of lead...

And I'm plotting all angles
I'm plotting all angles

Can I just give up? I'm sick of this stuff!
I'll just give up, yeah, I'll just give up... [x3]

Tangent? Cosine? My homework interferes
With my cleanliness - I haven't showered yet this year
I do division past all toler'ble degrees
Don't want to factor prime numbers - I'd rather watch primetime TV

But I'm plotting all angles
I'm plotting all angles

When space and time is circumscribed so we can walk around
And heaven's eyes are "x" and "y" - solutions must be found
And groups of three are matrices
And corners measured in degrees
In a world where beautiful is merely logical, for "Math is Power" ...

I'm plotting all angles
I'm plotting those damn angles...

[repeat to end]

Oh my -- one of the few current pop tunes that I'm actually (vaguely) familiar with. This parody is great. I like the prime numbers / primetime tv bit.

DKTOS and am lousy in math but good enough to know that 3X5 = 15.

Guess I should look for an O'Jays tune to parody next... or maybe an Irish tune: "Oh Lee O'Jay... the pipes, the pipes are cloggin'...."

I'm afraid I like Lee O'Shea better. Or you could do a funky kung-fu type moniker - "Esgauzilla!!!...no! Es Li Oh Je! Kikkoman!"

I'm very familiar with the original song, since it's been played an awful lot on the radio the past year. Anyway, you did a great job with this parody, and will add my vote to the pile of perfect votes.
