| Original Song Title: | "Calling all Angels" |
| Original Performer: | Train |
| Parody Song Title: | "Calling all DeeJays" |
| Parody Written by: | Elena M. |
I need a sign, to let me know you're here
Cuz this damn song's the only thing I ever hear.
I need to know, there's something else lined up,
Because the Train CD's on repeat, that I fear.
When there is no safe station that won't drill it in my head,
I hear those first few chords, and my heart is filled with dread.
And I'm Calling all DeeJays.
And I'm Calling all you DeeJays.
I won't tune in, unless you give up.
I won't tune in, unless you give up.
I need a band, willing to break the mold
Cuz this post nine-eleven drama's getting old.
I need a reason for the way things have to be.
Don't understand this song's apparent popularity.
And I'm calling all DeeJays
And I'm calling all you DeeJays.
When my brain is tied in knots from the stupid lyrics that I hear
Please tell me that this nonsense won't still be on the air next year.
"And football teams are kissing queens" does anyone know what the hell that means?
In a world where what we want is just to hear a brand new song.
And I'm calling all DeeJays
(I won't tune in, unless you give up)
I'm calling all you DeeJays
(I won't tune in, unless you give up).

A-HEM! I happen to like Train. And if you hate the song so much, well ya know what, there's something called "turning off the damn radio". I've heard it's quite effective.
Hey, lighten up! There's also something called art not necessarily being autibiographical :-)
Hi, this comment is a little late, but I thought this parody was really good and didn't get the attention it deserved in Nov.2003. This song is still being played on the radio, in fact I just heard it about an hour ago. Oh, and I happen to like Train too....and so does one of my severely brain-damaged patients. I bought her the CD. Interestingly, she also likes the Beatles.
Train needs to be derailed for the worst lyric of the new millenium: "The best soy latte that you ever had was me..."(wha??? )Thanks for writing a song that goes straight to my feelings! 545
