| Parody Written by: | Chris Bodily TM |
I'm sure you all learned the "Dry Bones" song in school: "The toe bone's conencted to your foot bone...." Well, that's how I came up with this parody. Enjoy, and make sure you know your bones!
Well, them bones, them bones, them dry ol' bones
Bones in my body, I have lots
These are the bones in the human body
Each one's connected to others
How many times must I explain
It's basically human anatomy
The toe bone's connected to the foot bone
The foot bone's connected to the ankle bone, ankle bone
The elbow bone is "funny"
And our bodies full of bones
And the ankle bone's connected to the leg bone
Number of bones is more than four
There more bones for me to talk 'bout
Don't take no degrees to know your bones
You should have learned this song in school
The name of the song's "Dry Bones"
It's the only song that your parents still know
Yeah...
The leg bone's connected to the knee bone
The knee bone's connected to the thigh bone, yeah, the thigh bone
Thigh's connected to your hip
Hip's connected to your back
And the back bone's connected to the shoulder bone
Hey sing it with me
Let's make sure you know....
The shoulder bone's connected to the neck bone
The neck bone's connected to the head bone, end of the song
You should know the song by now
And you're going in reverse
"And the --something-- bone's connected to...."
The head bone's connected to the neck bone
The neck bone's connected to the shoulder bone, shoulder bone
You need to know your body
And you've got to know your bones
And the shoulder bone's connected to the back bone
Bones in my body, I have lots
These are the bones in the human body
Each one's connected to others
How many times must I explain
It's basically human anatomy
The toe bone's connected to the foot bone
The foot bone's connected to the ankle bone, ankle bone

After parodying the chorus of this song many times with friends, of course the bone song comes to mind as the Drinkin Bone is essentially based upon that song anyways. To be honest I didn't like the pacing, so I gave you 2-3-4. Really try to make sure the pacing fits not just the right amount of sylables, but the words should be relatively similar or have the same stresses of sylables. That's what seems to make a world of difference in my opinion. I really liked "The elbow bone is funny", that's a great example of nice pacing because the stresses line up nice, and you used a word from the original song in a completely different context, which is one thing that can make a parody stand out.
It was ok but i want the original one. Email me at GIOMTZ467@aol.com please i need it for school!
