| Parody Written by: | Mike Fisk |
Blue and green are what I see since I've been diseased
Red and violet then came from me, coming out of me,
in my pee.
As I lay, I can't move, I can't eat a thing
that is much bigger than a string
set my bedpan down, watch it fill.
overheating, overmedicating steals away the body from the mind.
weakening my constitution, spoiling my memories and I must
feed myself from an IV tube dripping from a bag above.
Blue and green are what I see since I've been diseased
Red and violet then came from me, coming out of me,
in my pee, there is not much more that
I can do to look forward to surviving the next several days.
As I lay, I can't move, I can't eat a thing
that is much bigger than a string
set my bedpan down, watch it fill.
overheating, overmedicating steals away the body from the mind.
weakening my constitution leaving just a fragile shell of me behind.
Keep me fighting as my soul tries to abandon the spheres.
Give me strength to accept anything.
Give me strength to accept whatever will come.
I feel faint as I try to
keep soul earthbound, to stay cognizant
enough to look around and feel what has happened
to glimpse true meaning, to contemplate living,
to up and defeat this, to walk out of this bed,
to spin on the wheel of
our mortal fortunes and remain a human.
With my feet clammy and cold I try to move
within my mind and open up the doors within
without consent from my doctors
I'm getting up and walking out.
I wish to witness life firsthand like I have not done for some time.
Acknowledging my flesh and mind I wish to go where I've not been.
I'll ride life's wheel until the end, I wish to go where I've not been.
Grasp the light. Keep moving.
