Song Parodies -> Dole On
| Original Song Title: | "Roll On" |
| Original Performer: | The Living End |
| Parody Song Title: | "Dole On" |
| Parody Written by: | Heath |
It's about dole bludgers.
We'll dole on in the waiting line
Found a dollar in the gutter
Let's see what I can buy
(if chorus repeated)
We'll dole on in the waiting line
Get a good job says my mother
but i couldn't if i tried
The offices deserted for five blocks round and round The bludgers standing strong
They gathered round to see how much money they'd get paid
There's not enough work so I'll go home for the day
Say!
Chorus
stay off the streets and keep the whole thing quiet
The last thing we need is an army diet
'Cos they don't really care
They're always standing there
Coming in from outside
From the outside
Running from the outside work
we don't really care
we'll still be standing there
Hiding from the outside work
We don't really care
We'll still be standing there
Hiding from the outside work
Five months has passed and your ass is not in gear
Spirits slowly fading and the end is getting near
You see you're unemployable
And when all is said and done
If you don't find work tommorrow
I will tax you your right thumb
Dole on
Found a dollar in the gutter
Let's see what I can buy
(if chorus repeated)
We'll dole on in the waiting line
Get a good job says my mother
but i couldn't if i tried
The offices deserted for five blocks round and round The bludgers standing strong
They gathered round to see how much money they'd get paid
There's not enough work so I'll go home for the day
Say!
Chorus
stay off the streets and keep the whole thing quiet
The last thing we need is an army diet
'Cos they don't really care
They're always standing there
Coming in from outside
From the outside
Running from the outside work
we don't really care
we'll still be standing there
Hiding from the outside work
We don't really care
We'll still be standing there
Hiding from the outside work
Five months has passed and your ass is not in gear
Spirits slowly fading and the end is getting near
You see you're unemployable
And when all is said and done
If you don't find work tommorrow
I will tax you your right thumb
Dole on

Hahahah bloody good Aussie stuff, don't know the song, I only know their "Prisoner Of Society" hit but gave ya all 5s anyways seeing it was piss funny.
Pacing was off in a few places, but still very funny.
That's really great, I'd like to see more from you, there should be more parodies of The Living End.
That was inspirational, well done
Ah good ol' Aussies. Is there really anything they CAN'T do? Great Parody for a Great Song
