(SOTM) Wow... this is quite different than what we're used to seeing on Amiright. This was an intentionally unfunny parody; in fact, it was more profound and poetic than it is funny. DKTOS, but you delivered something different to the Amiright table. 555
(SOTM) MysteryGoat IS the Goo Goo Dolls. Johnny Rezesnik(sp?) can eat his heart out.
(SOTM) Reading this, I could have sworn that this WAS the lyrics to the OS. It just sounds like something they'd write. Well, like Adagio, you bring a completely different quality to the site, but I docked you on humor since it just didn't seem appropriate.
(SOTM) This reads more like an original than a parody, which is a compliment. I agree with Chris Bodily TM's comment as well. I didn't quite get the perpective shift though unless you were going to have two people sing this.
Understandable how this seems no different than the orginial. The idea is purely about death, whereas the original is more about loss in love and life, not soley pertaining to death.
(SOTM) Enjoyed listening and reading along. I did enjoy the contrast to the original and, liked the OS a lot.

(SOTM) I agree with K1chyd. Too odd for a SOTM entry. I got that for my 'Jesus' 'I Am' Phrases', which I entered into the January SOTM.
(SOTM) An impressive piece of lyric writing here. There needs to be a section or a separate site for alternate lyrics that are not parody.
(SOTM) a serious love parody! that's a first I think - nice lyrics, but too sincere and like a real song to be a SOTM winner - ie. not parodic or enough, or satirical
SOTM - Hard to classify this one. Certainly the least funny parody I've seen in a while, but that was clearly intentional. Good job on a rare serious parody.
SOTM...I really enjoyed this, MG...I don't know the OS...but your heartfelt lyrics kind of make me wonder how the OS would hold a candle to this...=) Very nice...
