Weeki Wachee Springs, some 50 mile north of Tampa, Florida, was, in its time, one of the more popular Florida tourist attractions thanks to the quasi-cheesecake corniness of the Weeki Wachee Mermaids--the world's only underwater acting company. Currently under threat of closure because of legal action, Weeki Wachee continues to attract its share of tourists as are fond of the tackier specimens of Roadside Americana.
Long before Walt Disney World
And the theme parks down Orlando way,
Florida vacations would often include
A stop at Weeki Wachee Springs!
All because of bathing beauts
Who wore corny-looking mermaid's tails,
Performed underwater and
Took air from the hose!

Being that I am familiar with Tampa, I had heard of "Weeki Wachee Springs" I think the idea is solid, the pacing was a bit loose and the rhyme scheme was too, but good job nonetheless
