Song Parodies -> "I Dreamed A Dream"

Original Song Title:

"I Dreamed A Dream"

Original Performer:

Susan Boyle

Parody Song Title:

"I Dreamed A Dream"

Parody Written by:

Patrick McWilliams

The Lyrics

I'm not attractive looking like Susan Boyle. And my singing voice pretty much matches my appearance. But, a fellow can dream. Maybe.
I dreamed that I was on the stage
Performing songs that I had written
The audience was in a rage
Chairs were flyin' , fists were hittin'

I stood short and unafraid
And may I say, not in a shy way
Disgusting, booing sounds were made
As I croaked through "My Way" my way

Then I await the judges' choice
Sarcastic, biting wit from Simon
"The only thing worse than your voice
Is your sense of pace and rhymin'"

A single question they did share
The put it to me blunt and rude
"This is "Les Mis", it is not "Hair"
So why did you show up here nude?"

I dreamed they'd pay to hear me sing
The biggest scam I'd ever schemed
Then I awoke to hear a ring
Alarm clock killed the dream I dreamed
I am basing this version on the performance, seen by everyone on youtube, which fits my storyline, rather than the musical soundtrack version, which is a bit longer.

Great parody, but, though Susan Boyle may have popularized this song, it is from Les Miserables, I believe. 5s.
