A few years ago, I read an article on a news site that said that the U.S. was urging scientists to block out the sun. As I read that, the song "Soak Up The Sun" by Sheryl Crow came to mind, and I was inspired to write this parody.
My friend the Democrat
Told me to stop pollution
"Block out that glowing mass
Now there's a cheap solution"
I have a PHD
But I don't have common sense
They told me to cross the line
So I'm gonna jump the fence

Gonna kill everyone
To fix our mistake (I'm gonna tell 'em that)
They've got themselves to blame
I have to put out the flame
'cause they were hogs

I've got a high-paying job
Some say it pays too much
To come up with hare-brained schemes
To blow everybody up
Every time I turn around
