The Lyrics

Basically, this is both my love letter to all the great Comic writers and my jab Joe Quesada and Didio's runs, which nearly ruined comics in the 2000s.
I've seen you write a script,
it's that that I adore.
Since I was a boy
I've wanted to be like Alan Moore.
A girl on every page,
and gadgets on my belt.
The world is not enough for the both of Marvel and DC.

So I wish I ran Marvel,
Make things my own way.
I'd fire Joey Que,
And undo One More Day.

So I wish I ran Marvel,
Make things my own way.
I'd fire Joey Que,
And undo One More Day.

Hello Joey Que,
I've been expecting you.
OMIT in your hand,
and my childhood in the trash.
Don't take this the wrong way,
I know it might sound odd.
I could fix up your mistakes,
I'm the right man for the job.

So I wish I ran Marvel,
Make things my own way.
I'd fire Joey Que,
And undo One More Day.

So I wish I ran Marvel,
Make things my own way.
I'd fire Joey Que,
And undo One More Day.

I've a Pencil, I've a Pencil, I've a Pencil to draw.
I've a Pencil, I've a Pencil, I've a Pencil to draw.
I've a Pencil, I've a Pencil, I've a Pencil to draw.
I've a Pencil, I've a Pencil, I've a Pencil to draw.

I wanted to draw you, I wanted to write you, I wanted to make Spider-Man.
I wanted to draw you, I wanted to write you, I wanted to make Batman.

So I wish I ran Marvel,
Make things my own way.
I'd fire Joey Que,
And undo One More Day.

So I wish I ran Marvel,
Make things my own way.
I'd fire Joey Que,
And undo One More Day.

Steve (Ditko) and Stan (Lee) and Jack (Kirby) and Brian (Bendis) and Dan (Slott) and Neil (Gaimen) and maybe one day me.

Good nostalgia for us Marvel (and DC) fans. I used to have a sheet of typing paper with autographs of everyone who happened to be in the Marvel bullpen that day (Bill Everett, John Romita, Herb Trimpe, Marie Severin, Larry Lieber, etc.) but I've lost it.

Marvel is awesome as ever... but the Indy Comocs are gaining much ground and are being adapted by Hollywood at equal pace! I'm readin' Kevin Smith's "The Bionic Man" right now and "The Bionic Woman" is next!!! Nice job, modified storylines. Same for "Galactica 1980" and I like the awesome "Anna Mercury". I love Marvel first, Indies second, and DC last (wish they would make a Hawk Girl movie though)...
