The Lyrics

Poking a bit of fun at Rush drummer/lyricist Neil Peart for his sometimes pretentious lyrics.
On certain tunes
That Geddy croons
And the lyrics are pretentious

A proclivity
For creativity
That's overly inventious

Prose imperious
I wince sometimes when I hear
Overly eloquent
Who's he trying to impress with

By itself
Sitting on the shelf
I see my 8th grade science book

Take a quick peruse
For some lyrical cues
Scientific gobbledygook

Look how smart I am
Sneering at the masses

High IQ
I'm much smarter than you
I'm such an adept word adapter

It's no accident
That I'm president
Of the local Mensa chapter

I'm beyond your reach
At least these words aren't Pye's*, it's
* referring to Pye Dubois, who sometimes contributes lyrics to Rush, and whose lyrics suck horrendously.

Ha! Another OS most people won't know, but this Rush fan gets it. Do you have a parody about ALD (Alex Lifeson Disease)?

Great satire here, Doppelblock. Rush kinda gets on my nerves due to Geddy Lee, who has like a 5 octave range. Seemingly, his low range is soprano and his upper limits might cause dolphins to commit suicide.
