This is a completely non-comedic rewrite. Nickelback's ignorance and naivety is even more apparent when you see the messages in the music video. Most of the "good" changes they cite are BAD. Nobody can "change the world" for the better without God's help. Dr. George W. Truett: "The one transcending inspiring influence in civilization is the Christian religion... civilization without Christianity is doomed. Let there be...no hesitation or apology for the insistence that the one hope for the individual, the one hope for society...is in the Christian religion." Of course, that "hope" is historically "retrograde" - we are devolving physically, mentally, and spiritually.
