this is exactly how i felt after reading "The Silmarillion" by J.R.R. Tolkien. it was SOOOOOOO boring!
I like to read anyway, but the summer reading list did seem pointless when I had to do it. It just seemed like I should be able to pick out my own books to read.
I really don't understand why this parody has so many negative votes. It paces a heck of a lot better than it's given credit for. I think confidence in your writing is a must Michael, this parody is not nearly as bad as you lead on, and the votes clearly are someone who has lots of free-time and a cookie erase obsession. I won't say it's perfect, parts could be better, but still a pretty decent parody.
