Today's programs always make me cry

It makes me really start to miss those old days
One day I'd watch silly castaways
And on another day I'd be Lost in Space
And they made me glad

I really miss The Flintstones
The Lucy Show and The Twilight Zone
When you could turn on your TV
And the programs weren't so sleazy

New decade with new shows that made life fun
I enjoyed How the West was Won
Never could miss a Stanford and Son
I loved Hee-Haw

And after my long and hard school day was thru
I would watch Captain Kangaroo
Than at night I'd view Kung Fu
The best show I saw

Couldn't wait for Wonder Woman and Good Times
Those shows were fine

It was 1970 something
I was watchin' my television
Man I just loved those Happy Days
Couldn't wait till Fonzie went "eh"
