The Lyrics

At some time during the day, Family Feud is on at my house almost everyday. I do miss Richard Dawson and his sexual harassment of the contestants back when it was still ok to do so.
Uncle did answer
Waiting in booth
He’s finished it’s my turn
Playing Fam’ly Feud
They give me 20 seconds on the Feud
To give them five answers, yes it’s true
If I repeat my uncle I’ll get booed
They give me 20 seconds on the Feud

And now my brain is racking
Popular named street?
This was very easy
Watching on TV… now…

I’ll answer street name is called Peru
Marsupial would be Kangaroo
The average age for marriage? Thirty-Two
They give me 20 seconds on the Feud
One colony would be named Ohio
Who was the one who booked us on this show?
Yes pineapple is my favorite food
Was that just 20 seconds on the Fued?

I’m sweating like a fool
The pressure is unkind
It’s broadcast so the world
Sees me lose my mind
I can feel my pulse
I can feel my pulse
I can feel my pulse

Desperate for more points
We need quite a few
My uncle got a hundred
I need the same too

I got a buzzer for street called Peru
But sixty-six for the Kangaroo
The average age for marriage? Thirty-Two
They gave me 20 seconds on the Feud
Ohio got a buzzer and zero
If I get two points I’m a hero
Pineapple got one for favorite food
We got One Ninety-Nine on Fam’ly Fued?

Was just twenty seconds (a fool!)
Sweating twenty seconds (buffoon!)
Stupid twenty seconds (you loon!)
Gave me twenty seconds on the Feud.

I, too, thought Dawson was much funnier than his successor. 555 -- and btw... ya missed a plug fer ya in a TT group trib last week :)

Very cool how you utilized the chorus to list and review the game results while keeping the OS rhyme scheme. Minor issues with pacing, but still a 555 from me.

Funny stuff indeed. I miss the classic version with Dawson too. But I always get a kick out of the funny answers given in the outrageous moments specials that aired. I think this one was cleverly written (and like Agri said above, preserving the original rhyme scheme was great despite a few minor pacing issues), and I will also give this one a perfect score.

(Artistry) Pacing was near perfect, but I've never heard of Family Feud, so I didn't really understand most of the lines.

(Artistry) At least you got the lovely parting gifts and a copy of the home game. Good work.
