The Lyrics

Yes, I am a football fan. And this parody was written by me at lunch today. Then one of my friends tweaked it. We were both extremely upset today because our favorite NFL team lost for the second week straight, to a team that they should have crushed. I realize that I've already used this song to write a parody before, but I wanted to use it for this parody since the lyrics came really fast. However, I added a twist to it: I didn't mention my team's name anywhere in the parody. Football fans: Read the parody and try to guess who I'm talking about. If you have a guess, write it in the comments section. I'll tell you if you're right or not... yeah
Good times have come and passed
Their winning streak just didn't last
Wake me up when they win again

Like our fun has come to pass
Seven wins have gone so fast
Wake me up when they win again

Here come the tears again
Falling down my cheeks
Drenched in my pain again
The playoffs just seem bleak

As I drift off to sleep
I don't forget that painful loss
Wake me up when they win again.

Good times have come and passed
Their winning streak just didn't last
Wake me up when they win again

Kick the TV again
Like we did when the Pats won
Wake me up when they win again

Here come the tears again
Falling down my cheeks
Drenched in my pain again
The playoffs just seem bleak

As I drift off to sleep
I don't forget that painful loss
Wake me up when they win again.

Good times have come and passed
Their winning streak just didn't last
Wake me up when they win again

Like our fun has come to pass
Two losses have come so fast
Wake me up when they win again

Wake me up when they win again
Wake me up when they win again.
Actually, if you keep up with NFL football stats, it should be fairly easy to tell who I'm talking about. If you can tell, please do not post comments about how my team sucks. And yes, I do know that there are teams that have it a lot worse than my team... still, though, I'm really sad. So, post your guess under here and let me know what you thought

Yeah, you're right. I can't believe they lost to the Chargers; it was miserable. I just... ugh. It sucks. Hence the parody.

From one Colts fan to another... here's 15 points... (and let's hope the Pats lose like the Chargers did last year during the playoffs).

I'm not a Colts fan, but I can't believe that Peyton Manning threw 6 interceptions and Adam Vinatieri missed the field goal at the end of the game.

Great parody, Panther. 5's.

Thanks for the 555. Yeah, one of my friends thinks that the Patriots will get killed in the first round of the playoffs because they won't remember what it's like to play a good team by then. Hopefully that's correct. And as for the statistics... I think that's the most interceptions Manning has ever thrown in a game. And I don't know how Viniatieri could miss the winning field goal, but that was an awful end to the game after the Colts finally came back from losing 23-0. Needless to say, I'm quite miserable over what happened at the moment.

Oh, and look at that. Dwight Freeney is out for the rest of the season. Quote from MSN Sports: "This blow is potentially devastating to Indianapolis." Yeah, great. Thanks. That makes us feel a lot better.

The Colts just beat Kansas City, so... WAKE UP!!
Pink Panther - November 21, 2007 - Report this comment
Yeah, but they didn't look good against the Chiefs, which didn't help much... so I'm still debating whether I should actually wake up or not...
bill - December 06, 2007 - Report this comment
now you can wake up. the colts crushed atlanta and beat jacksonville so... yeah.
Pink Panther - December 06, 2007 - Report this comment
True. I'm feeling better now, and the Pats are starting to lose their god status after squeaking past the Ravens and the Eagles. I just hope the Colts can get theirs back, since their injured players are starting to get better...

By the way MrMacphisto... the Pats didn't lose like the Chargers did in the playoffs, but how they lost was better. 18 wins, and one GIANT loss. Haha, I have to love the Giants since they beat the Patriots like that =D
