The Lyrics

This installment is about all of the classic Nick shows everyone wants to see on DVD. Some of them already are -- Pete & Pete (Seasons 1 & 2) and Clarissa (Season 1) -- as Nick has been releasing their classics in a series called the Nick Rewind Collection. Another funny thing: The presidents of Nickelodeon and Viacom, respectively, have stepped down simultaneously, so future Rewind titles are on hold for now until things get reorganized.
Hey Sandy!

Hear the sound of Seattle grunge
Soon replaced by a talking yellow sponge (Hey!)
What fun, to watch Spongebob and Pat all day

Hear execs singing out of key
To a hymn called "Theme from Pete & Pete" (Hey Sandy!)
And bleed, the Viacom Prez stepped down today

What happened to Clarissa and Salute Your Shorts?
Will it be possible to see them in stores
On DVD?

Hear the sound of the Slime Time Live
Another contestant is drenched in slime (Hey!)
To find, the points are on the other side

Can I get some Welcome Freshmen (Freshmen!)
There's a show called Space Cases, way back when (Hey!)
A gag, a pr*st*t*te on the Rugrats show

Those shows called Hidden Temple, Alex Mack, and GUTS
Pete & Pete, Clarissa, the classic All That
On DVD

(Guitar solo)

(Bass line)

[Through speakerphone]
The current President of Nickelodeon has stepped down

To hell with the Phantom named Danny
Cancellation's your punishment!
Cancel all your stupid programs
with celebrity relatives!
Bang bang goes the new All That and,
Recast the show like INXS!
TEENick is fired, bring our SNICK back,
It's not the crap that's meant for me!
Just cause, just cause,
Yeah, just because we're Classic Nick!

Camp Anawana, we will hold you in our hearts
And when we think of you, it makes us want to fart
I want these classic shows to see the light of day
The whole world thinks that current Nick shows are gay

Put all our shows on DVD!

(Let the last chord ring into the next song...)

Cool nickelodeon parodies you're making with the Green day album! Can't wait to see what you'll do with "Wake me up when september ends","Saint Jimmy", or even "Give me novacaine"! 555

I swear there's a conspiracy going on with Viacom. As I said before on your Jesus of Suburbia parody, VH1 was once good but went crappy around the same time as Nick, and of course it's too late to save MTV. (I wasn't even ALIVE when the good MTV existed, sob.) And what do you mean, a hooker on Rugrats? I watched that show religiously in the mid-90s and in my recollection, nothing of the sort was on there.

There never was a hooker on Rugrats! LOLOL I just wanted to come up with a "controversial" lyric to parody "A plastic bag on a monument," and I figured you'd never see a hooker on any Nickelodeon show, let alone Rugrats. I'm glad you loved the parody. I don't know what I'll do with "Novacaine," but I wanna do either St. Snicky or Stick Stickly. lol and I know for a fact that "Wake Me Up" will be "Wake Me Up When the Decade Ends." "Boulevard" should be up tomorrow, as it isn't up yet.

Interesting, 5s, I grew with Nick in the 80s(when You can't do that on television was on), I have seen some of the shows that you mentioned, but not all of them, still this brought up some fond memories.

This parody kicks ass! Back in the late 90s, the Nick shows I watched the most were Rocko's Modern Life, Kenan and Kel, & All That. I think it's a good idea if there was a new cable channel called Classic Nick. These classic shows were as good as South Park, Simpsons, Family Guy, and American Dad.

Sweet memories. I got dish network so I can watch some of the classics like GUTS and Hidden Temple, and Rocko. I think the St. Jimmy should talk about Jimmy Neutron (god, I hate that show) or the deceased Stick Stickly. (RIP)

i think this is awesome. i dont know what the F*ck they think they're doing with Nickalodeon, but it sux! you're totally right, they need to bring this stuff back! you should like email this to the Viacom company and to Nick, and try to do something. plus Green Day rox, so its even better w/their songs! have u noticed that Cartoon Network changed too? they went from Johnny Brovon to some sucky ameture anime crap. MTV went from good solid-ass music, to just cheesy FAKE-ASS reality shows!!!! they is the FAKEST shows EVER!!!!! its awesome what you're doing!!!!
