Parody Song Title:

"Wake Me Up When Katrina Ends"

Parody Written by:

Blaize Edwards

This isn't meant to be funny, I was just bored and put this together.
Andrew has come and passed
but there's another coming fast
Wake me up when Katrina ends

Like the hurricanes that passed
We never thought it'd be this bad
wake me up when Katrina ends

Here comes the rain and wind
Crashing waves on shore
Drenched from the floods again
They're screaming out their doors

As the families rest
they'll never forget what they lost
wake me up when katrina ends

The army has come at last
an entire town is trashed
wake me up when katrina ends

Help the people out again
like we did when spring began
wake me up when katrina ends

Here comes fire engines
speeding down the streets
drenching the flames again
to bring us some relief

As America cries
they remember those who died
wake me up when katrina ends

(guitar solo)

Now that the storm has passed
we see katrina's destructive path
wake me up when katrina ends

The storm struck the shore so fast
Flooded streets and broken glass
Wake me up when Katrina ends
Wake me up when Katrina ends
Wake me up when Katrina ends

Dude, this is heavy. It's not funny at all, but it's very well written. It's actually a shame that it's only a parody. (although it's a good one) With lyrics like those you could've written a very good song on it's own. Keep up the good work!!

Excellent pacing; I agree with CFTim, you really should try writing something of your own.
