| Parody Written by: | Little Lion |
This is about field trips which we took throughout middle and elementary school, and which we currently take in high school once in a blue moon. These trips are an integral part of childhood life, and trips like this hold some of the fondest memories for me.It is sung by children in a bus, as though they are singing "99 bottles of Beer on the Wall."
At 99, for a moment
The busses groan, lurch a bit forward and then
We're moving
We stand up in our seat, to wave goodbye
At 82, for a moment
On the highway, goin' 67 and we
Are singing
Dirty songs that we learned at camp
Road trip there's still time for you!
Time to sing and time to lose
Road tripnever a trip better than this
When you've only got 99 beers to give
At 65, for a moment
We're still driving, home is now far away
We're on our way
But that's the last thing on our minds
At 51, for a moment
The noise is high, and we're heading in
To Utah
We flick off the cars that pass by
Road trip.there's still time for you!
Time to shout and time to schmooze
Within a bouncing bus
Road tripI'm all right with you
Road tripnever a trip better than this
When you've only got 99 beers to give
Another hour goes by
Suddenly you're bored
Another blink of an eye
Is that ralphing you heard?
The sun is getting low
We're movin' on
We're at 1 beer, for a moment
Dying to get the hell off of this bus and we're
Just dreaming
Counting the miles till we are home
Road trip there's still time for you
Road trip your hours seem long too
Road trip we're on our way
Tomorrow is another day
Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
(Instrumental, with honking of horns and screaming of children)
Road trip there's still time for you
Time to shout and time to shmooze
Road trip there's never a trip better than this
When you've only got 99 beers to give
The busses groan, lurch a bit forward and then

Wimp. Here in New Jersey, we always started at 100. Unfortunately, if you come to New Brunswick and visit Easton Avenue on a Friday night, you'll see many of us don't STOP at 100. Incidentally, I once timed myself singing "100 Bottles" to see how long, at a fairly normal and regular pace, it would take. About seven minutes. Which proves one thing: I am easily bored.
that may be, but were you on a bus full of screaming children who stopped every few minutes to make a rude gesture at the police officer driving the next car over? didn't think so. Thanks for the vote, though!
