The Lyrics

I've made this song into somewhat of a pop culture riddle. Try and guess the core inspriation of this song before you get to the end and it's revealed to you. Good luck :)
Lookin’ through your window…

Verse 1: I’ll go dance, when I see you go dance
And you run, when I creep you out
Then you cry, when you spot me spyin’
Throw me in the pen tonight
Gives you shivers, when you think of me
Call the cops, for some B & E
But I won’t whine, you’re the one I love
I’ll be in your tree tonight

Chorus: I can be your stalker baby
And I’ll love you from afar
I will follow you forever
Please don’t say that I’m bizarre

Verse 2: I’ll apply at your place of business
Just so I, can continue this
Have I gone crazy? Have I lost my mind?
I don’t care, who needs a mind?

Chorus: I can be your stalker baby
I can watch you as you sleep
I will love you ‘til forever
I’m not just another creep

Bridge: Oh, I just wanna stalk you
Just to walk behind you, oh yeah
Just forget Woogie, and forget Brett Favre
I’m the jerk you want tonight

Chorus: I can be your stalker Mary
There’s just something about you (there is!)
I am so obsessed it’s scary
Now forget ‘bout our Prom night

Chorus: I can be your stalker! (I can be your stalker Mary)
I swear my equipment‘s fine
And I will wait for you forever
Please choose me, but take your time

Please choose me, but take your time
I can be your stalker…

I thought this was genius...and then when I realized it was a "There's Something About Mary" parody...that just sent it over the top! Great job!

(ABC) There's just "something" about this...that is downright hilarious. GREAT MOVIE & PARODY!

Havent seen TSAM in ages, so I am not sure if this is supposed to be about that movie...is it? This was an OK parody, but needs a bit more to trump Weird Al's "Do I Creep You Out?".

I've actually never seen Something About Mary so I'm a bit lost on that comparison but this was a great parody about being a stalker and is actually pretty creepy but I think that Weird Al's "Do I Creep You Out" IS a little better.

(ABC) So you wrote a song about your dating techniques? JK! I've never seen the movie, so I don't get the reference, but before that, it was really funny.

(ABC) Haven't seen the film, but that didn't stop my enjoyment of this parody. Perhaps not as brilliant as Weird Al's "Do I Creep You Out", but it's pretty damn close. 555 restraining orders!

(ABC) Only need one restraining order that says you must stay 555 miles away...and tell me: how the hell'd you get the frank above the beans anyway?!

Uh. . .why is everyone comparing this to Al's Do I Creep You Out? I mean honestly, its a different kind of creepy for me. ...and congrats Blayde, if I ever see you I'll be watching my back;) JK, though if Enrique was stalking me, I don't think I'd be that creeped out, I mean he'd be as busy trying to look perfect as he would be stalking me, not to mention the paparazzi that'd also be following him

Thanks Dave! It seems that a lot of my parodies get compared to Weird Al's songs, whether it be in topic of song choice. I honestly think that's a little unfair. I'm not a professional song writer and I'm relatively new to all of this. I'm honored to be mentioned in the same way Al is, but that's like comparing a little leaguer to Albert Pujols. It just really doesn't make sense. I should be judged on my own merit, not on Weird Al's. Of course his songs will be better than mine, that's a given.

Very well done, the story of Mary...or Enrique when he first started wooing Anna. Lots of good lines in here!
