The Lyrics

[INTRO]
Look, if you had one yacht and corporate immunity
Jetskis, anything you ever wanted
Pure mogul
Would you ration it, or buy bigger ships?
Dough…

[VERSE 1]
Income is steady, fees peak, bonds aplenty
Bahaman offshore credit, no levy, funds for spending
So lavish- and yet us average folk with crumbs and pennies
Pay lump sums, taxes leave bums indebted
As you float round on boats now, gloat so proud
You’re hoping for drought, ‘cause it might float the pound
But brokers frown - economy’s broken down
Your stocks run out, dimes flop, no more mounds
Cash-strapped now financially
Owe… no more fancy sprees
Owe… there go mansion keys
Lo, there’s no amnesty
Loads of transaction fees grow
Funds substantially blown
Your loss graph freely slopes
The scope drastically low
Zero balance, you’re broke
You poor magnates, the woe
You limo back to your marble home castle manse
“Fetch father’s tab, Eduardo.”
You rich families, never abject in employment
Offload some mo’ staff and…

[CHORUS]
(You’re gonna) lose your wealth in this movement
You moguls are loaded with cheddar, lettuce, bread and dough
Your money and car, yacht, your spot as the CEO
Such superfluity clocks up quite a pricetag
You’re gonna lose your wealth in this movement
The lowly all protest the credit debit debt they owe
You’re gonna get the chop, ‘tall poppy cut down’ syndrome
These revolutionaries march strong in uprising, yo

[VERSE 2]
Bankroll keeps raising. You play polo, buy vase Mings
Swiss pearls and diamond-inlayed rings, bracelets, minks
All us blue collars have no coffers
Your formal life decorum is so abhorred
Peugeots, you folks hoard ‘em
Whilst most aren’t affording clothes or hot water
Won’t cope, it’s all over, we’re hopeless poor paupers
Mobile homes, broke, no notes in our roped wallets
Loans we’ve owed, dollars and tolls
All growth draws to a close, we don’t profit
Our home loan, your parents grow more dough off it
You sold our stores, locals fold, offshore bought up
They close those markets, jobs stolen by corporates
This movement of the poor rose, opposed to
Rolls Royce and gold Prada
Probe the globe shopping for coal and petroleum?
Screw your old fortunes, it’s Wall Street we want
Here’s-your-proper-tax-audit…

(You’re goners…)

[VERSE 3]
No more payments arranged in bogus claims
Fight for ‘minimum’ instead of your ‘bonus’ wage
We’re all paying interest on spending- you screwed us, banks
As you suit up then quick, parachute away
Deficit climbing and debt spiking, it gets higher
Best believe poverty’s paying from high buyers
Feel the strain get tight, employees fired
Sacked now by supervisors, the ninety-nine-percent
Can't provide the right type of
Life for their families, cause man, we got scammed
Finances were swiped up
So this here movement has grown from dire strife, the
Issues are rife and these crimes have no heart
You embezzle and you launder
All this greed you plunder misleads us, we go under
Suffer these chiefs being dishonest as they scheme upon us
We succumbed, economy is bombing too much
Now we are gonna bay for our cut
We’re underpaid from monopolies toppling
Competition for more sales, we ought
To demonstrate this glut, as many still flail with nought
Oppressed? Here’s a slogan jotted on in sharpie… wail and strut
Got a government decayed and rotten
Most of senators’ whole campaigns are bought
So come and show your support; sleet, hail or hot
Let’s take down the global corporate industries for the lot!

(You’re goners…)

Just grab a pen and sign on the line here, man.

Is there a reason why you decided to post this one twice? I already reviewed it the other day. Good job although a bit too political for my tastes.

You get an A+ for entertainment value. Unfortunately, an F for your understanding of economics.

I will say I feel that Occupy Wall Street is a valiant effort to go after something they really don't have a full understanding of. I agree that things need to change, but shutting down Wall Street would be a disaster for the economy not a boon. . .at any rate, your parody was pretty well amazing in it's inclusiveness and pacing. 555 on principle. . .very well written and very funny even if I don't agree with every line necessairly

how about occupy getting a life, or a job, and lose the jealousy and envy. what is wrong with being filthy rich? who among you would give all but $40,000 a year away? i didn't think so. . . and by the way, banks were forced by barney franks, jimmy carter and one other schlub to create programs for unqualified people and were told that the government would back them. they didnt. george w bush, like a moron decided to back them and started the bail out. blame the political party of jimmy carter back round 1974 for these special programs . i was a licensed lender who saw the inside dealings and couldn't believe it. thanks morons
