I though of this last night, 9/05/2007 and wrote it last night. I'm in an aerobics class and our teacher gives us a good work-out. Enjoy!
I can see what's happening.
And she doesn’t have a clue?
They’re all in pain and here's the bottom line,
we can no longer feel our legs.
The sweat drips down our foreheads;
there’s pain everywhere.
And with all this painful atmosphere,
disaster's in the air.
Can you feel the pain tonight?
The pain is unbearable.
The teacher doesn’t realize we are no longer living things.
So many things to tell her,
but how to make her see.
The truth about this class, impossible,
she wouldn’t listen to me.
She's holding back, she's hiding.
But what, she won’t tell me.
Why won't she be the teacher I know she is?
The teacher I see inside?
Can you feel the pain tonight?
The pain is unbearable.
The teacher doesn’t realize we are no longer living things.

Hey Gel--I think you accidentally hit 1 on pacing instead of the 5, because it's 5'd on Funny and Overall. . .anyhow, this Elton John classic has distinctive sounds that are somewhat instrumental to a great parody, you did well with pacing, and I like the overall feel and idea you have, I think that the rhyme scheme could use work, but not bad--keep writing and improving:)
