this is a parody i wrote in seminar at school i dont know if you'll like this.
a long time ago i had lost my mind,
and i didnt know if i should laugh or i should cry
but i took a look on the brighter side
no more wearing my pants.
so ive ate cat food a time or two but
it dont bother me a bit becuase it's
just the start of a spark of insanity
when you go insane, you kinds think it rocks
til your shirts off and your yelling at the cat
you kinda thought you had it bad til your dancing
with a hat rack
so i think ill stay in this catatonic state
and laugh while i go nuts , and when your like me
you kinda like it and guess what im eating my shoe

I think the question is: Are you parodying an actual published song, or is this something whose tune you wrote from scratch, not just the lyrics? This site is for the former, so that's why DKTOS (standard acronym here for "Don't Know The Original Song) asked for the info. Same here. Will abstain from voting until we find out.

No, you're not an idiot, you're just new here. What we do here is take existing, published songs and make parodies of them. Read a few that look interesting, and you'll get the hang of it. Perhaps you'll want to try it yourself. No worries!
i do make parodies of songs but either they dont get graded or someone doesnt look at what i do
