The Lyrics

I like the way alot of this one flows, there are sum uneasy parts but im mostly hapy with the way it tells the story and follows the form of a parody. Unlike these idiots who think they can squeeze in 5 extra syllables or take away 3 syllables, or make it not rhyme and think they can get away with it. AHHHH that makes me angry.
A long, long time ago, in a galaxy far away,
Democracy was wearing thin.
The separatists were growing now,
And everyone was wondering how,
With no army, so few Jedi could ever win.
Meanwhile, me and my young learner,
Went to Padme "for someone hurt her.
Someone who wanted her dead, put centipedes in her bed.
Oh and Anakin loves her, I know.
That's why he pursued that changeling so.
Who hired her? We'll never know.
Downtown, she up and died.

Oh my, my, this here Anakin guy,
Getting stronger, not much longer
"Til he's on the dark side.
It's been ten years and still I'm wondering why,
Should this boy have ever been a Jedi?
Should this boy have been a Jedi?

Did you know that Palpatine,
Isn't quite as nice as he may seem.
He looks like quite a jerk to me.
Oh and Anakin was finally on his own,
When he went with Padme back to her home,
Those two, probably just get it on all daaaaaaaay.
Well I don't think he was ready yet,
He's still a smart-ass little brat.
While he was on Naboo, I asked Dax a question or twoooooo!
He told me, go out to the outer rim,
Where the people are 3 centimeters thin.
The cloners lived somewhere within.
I was Kamino bound.

I started singin',
Why, why, there's no star in the sky,
Yoda said that I should head out and my planet I'd find.
Who could erase it from the archive and why?
Well I guess it must have been a jedi.
Guess it must have been a jedi.

Now, that Ani started having dreams,
He woke up to his own girly screams,
I think he needs some therapy.
He was thinkin' bout his poor old mom,
While I went to see what was going on,
This assassin would have to deal with meeeeee.
Oh, I met Taun We and Lama Su,
They told me they'd be ready soon.
To the republic's aid, a clone army had been made.
And though I thought the cloners' tale was tall,
They said Sifo-Dyas made the call,
He wasn't living then at all,
Ten years ago he died.

I was singin',
Oh, my, this here Jango Fett guy,
Lives alone with just a clone that he had unmodified.
This bounty hunter had a look in his eye,
Tell me, what could he be trying to hide?
Somehow I just know that he lied.

My Geonosis trip began,
And Padme and Ani made a plan.
They're crappy rescue failed you see.
Mace walked in with a purple sword,
And met Tyrranus the new sith lord,
Master Yoda, brought some clones with Ki-Adi,
And before long we caught a shuttle,
To a dark, gloomy, empty tunnel.
My padawan's retarded.
His right arm was discarded.
And at 2 foot 1 he took a stand, (Yoda)
With a green lightsaber in his hand.
A chance Count Dooku did not stand,
Begun, the clone war has.

And we were singing,
Why, why, have the jedi been blind,
Though the force will shift of course
We must let it be our guide.
I sense a plot to destroy all the jedi.
We must all pray that the prohpecy's true.
What else are we going to do?

Weeeee were singin',
Sit tight, there's no reason to fright,
We've got 50 million troops and theyre all ready to fight,
We'll fight the seperatists with all of our might,
But will Young Skywalker save us tonight?

Haven't seen Star Wars 2 in its entirety (only the latter half, argh!) but this paced superbly and good use of lyrics. I didn't vote because I can't judge it, I haven't seen the whole movie yet. (I haven't even seen Star Wars 3, I'm waiting till they air it on TV)

Apparently (and not just because he got the artist wrong) Yoda was wrong: Here, there was not "Do," there was only "Try."

American Pie is by Don McLean, not Billy Joel.
