A lighthearted parody of a song from The Phantom of the Opera about parody. Enjoy!
At once it dawned on me,
Songs sound the same,
The song needs comedy,
To achieve acclaim,
And so I grab my pen,
My song outlined,
The outcome of a parody is near,
One of a kind,
Sing once again with me,
A strange duet,
As lyrics go a-skew,
It gets stranger yet,
And though the comedy's,
Not well refined,
A tad dumb, but a parody, none less,
Is what you'll find,
Those who think it's a waste,
Of a career,
Have not heard the one that wears,
(Vans and long hair),
And though some it annoys,
I think you'll find,
That fandom of a parodist is fun,
Help you unwind,
(It's there, the parody won't stop, nah,
Fanfare, the parody won't stop, nah),
Sing, my comic!
Sing!
An octave higher!
Keep going!
Ok, that's getting a little annoying now,
Please stop!
Ow!

"Vans and Long Hair".... Let me guess.... Bob Rivers? Just kidding, great description of the man all of us want to be!
*Applause & stands* 555s all the way! Bravo! Encore!
All this stuff inside our minds. Excellent parody, fives
Why'd some cretin have to throw in a triple one vote? This wasn't off paced.
Maybe it was a decade cop noticing that the author said 2000's. That really isn't necessary, you know.
