The Lyrics
An ode to the recent sexism row C & J Clark aka Clarks of UK, best known for those Wallabies worn by Walter White of Breaking Bad, got over a pair of girls' shoes of all things. The "Dolly Babe" style name was deemed as misogynist by a number of people, who felt it made women look inferior, causing the company to pull the style out of their catalogue despite the shoes themselves being nothing remarkable. My friends and I felt this bickering on something inocuous just reeks of being unnecessary, hence the parody poking fun at trivial complaints such as this.
Some folks complain 'bout hot coffee
Some folks just hate obscene games
Some people gripe every hour, yeah
On everything, even Mary Janes
It's so inane, that a product's trade name
Offend folks within
Not a racial slur
Or cuss that you'd blur
A name, of a film animal*
Some people rant and all
Yet matters just nothing at all
A vocal few, baby
Are mad at them shoes baby
Kicks' name had negative rings
But I don't, think it meant a thing
Yet they would rant about something
