Just Find My (Rooster) Somewhere

The sun was hot and that 'ol (rooster) was movin' slow.
So surprised:
A stray hen passes and as fast as Liz in her prime--
Woah, it's goodbye!
Gettin' worried by the hour
And older by the minute.
Fowl just pushed me over the limit.
Like to call him or something.
Think I'll just sit here and wait.

Poultry's seldom big and strong,
But this barnyard swain is like a hurricane.
It's tough to ask for help, but I don't care.
Just find my (rooster) somewhere!

Well, his amorous break did take all afternoon
And half the night.
Tomorrow morning he'll know there'll be hell to pay,
Hey, I hope he's all right.
Ain't run away now
In over a year.
My rooster's vacation
Had better end right here.
If the bird's still free
You can tell him I miss him dearly.
