Yup, the messageboard is down again. Yup, it's my hosting provider's fault, AGAIN. Normally I'd want to scream and rant and rave, but it's such a normal thing to be disappointed by crappy web hosting companies at this point, that I just expect it.Full story is at inthe00s.com. It's not really their fault. It's my fault for assuming that if I paid them to upgrade the server to make it more secure, they'd actually do it without breaking something. I do have a backup from Sunday night around midnight. So worst case scenario, there are backups available.
Oh crap. That sucks. (I don't know what else to say right now.) I hope it's back up and running some time in the near future; it really isn't fun to have to click on it and get that annoying SMF message in times like these.
Well, I'll give them one thing: it's probably impossible to hack a server that is unavailable to everyone, so you should be thanking them for implementing the best security system money can buy. /sarcasm off. I hope these asshats refund your money, Chucky.
Well, at least I know now that I haven't really been banned. I get the SMF error and then a FORBIDDEN error! LOL

Thank goodness for backups right? At any rate Chucky - I have told a few that we can maybe hope for the weekend, because I know you can't exactly do this while you are at work. (And if it's up before that then that's a positive thing) See y'all soon!
fortunately I ran a backup on Sunday. Why the hosting provider would upgrade something without performing a backup is a mystery to me, but hey, they're the "professionals" right? I did get it back online this morning. Unfortunately I've been down this path a few times with these clowns already this year, so I know the drill.
In the meantime, I can't edit my sections, cuz I haven't memorized the new URL for my editor homepage, altho I think I can figure it out. I did, however, memorize my password so that's a good thing. (See, I've often gone into my PM inbox and accessed my sections that way...but since we're in a pickle, I have to access it from my own memory.)
I figured out the URL for my sections, and took care of them, so that's all done now! I'm still getting annoying spam in one particular section of mine...so I guess I'm gonna have to e-mail Chuck about it.
Are you going to let us know when it's back up again?
I have not had much time today to be online, so I do not know the MB's current status (as of Thursday, 6:50 PM Pacific Time)...so for the moment I'm going to assume it's still not back up yet. I'm with Jason though...I still need my fix too! :(
I guess it was fixed this morning...but we lost an entire three days of posts. Now, after some unknown reason, it gives me a "403 Forbidden" error message! :(
8:30 AM PDT... That pesky "403 Forbidden" message is back again. Every time I click on something in the MB it gives me that. I hope this is only temporary
