How lazy can a record company get? Children between the ages of 9 and 16 are now being asked to draw up a new fifth member of the band Gorillaz. Maybe that's cheaper than rehiring the ad company that created up the original four so that they wouldn't have to hire actual artists.Full story is at The Guardian. This is not a lazy ad campaign. In fact, though I do not have any personal knowledge, this COULD have been planned all along. It has long been an advertising plot to get your target audience to change the product. One winner gets paid but from the thousands of ideas submitted it is likely to get scores or even hundreds of good ideas.
