Johnny D (John Small) was commissioned to write 9 song parodies for The Nashoba Players' recent dinner theatre comedy, "The Awards Show", in which Johnny D played the character "Marshall Brown", a TV stage manager trying to maintain control of a ridiculously chaotic television awards gala (a parody of shows like the Emmy Awards). The link in this news item takes you to a page that displays excerpts from the program of "The Awards Show" --- and on that web page, there is a link at the top titled "Pictures from The Awards Show" which will take you to a page with some related photographs. All of the 9 song parodies Johnny D wrote for "The Awards Show" are also posted here on AmIRight under his name, but with titles different from those used in the program of "The Awards Show" (Johnny D created the titles used for his parodies in the program).

Congratulations, JD. What are the AmIRight titles of the "The Awards Show" parodies? Will we be able to hear them on AmIRight? It sounds like the two songs that your character sings, "Three Egos with but a Single Thought" and "Marahall's Words of Wisdom" would be fun songs to perform. Will the Nashoba Players be taking this show on the road?

Congratulations, Johnny! It all looks really good.

I was fortunate enough to have attended the final performance of "The Award Show" and, it was a blast! It was great to meet John and his wife, Mary. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, I didn't have much time to chat with John about parodies. I did find out that he and I work in the same city though so, perhaps we'll do lunch soon and discuss a possible parody recording collaboration.

Thank you, JJ, Adagio, and Rick C. JJ, I will respond to your inquiries in more detail in the near future. Quick response to one of your questions: no, Nashoba has no plans at the moment to take the show on the road --- but an audience member at one of our performances expressed interest in having the show performed at a company event. We'll see. Thanks again.
