He is, like, pretty much overrated now. And like, doesn't realise it.

R. Kelly was lip syncing. Yeah, that's showing off your vocal abilities. Not even MC Hammer was lip syncing. Hammer's performance on the VMAs, was a hundred times more amusing than R. Kelly's was. And the "closet conclusion" was a very anti-climactic story running alongside R. Kelly's Amazing Adventures(TM) in chapter 4 and 5. Assuming that "Rufus" is gay (he may be bi, but I thought the whole point of the song was him being gay), it's downright stupid that Rufus eventually returns to his wife. If he's not bi, he'll have enormous sexual frustration and will have to constantly picture a man while doing the matress mambo with the missus. Which makes him resort to cheating and sneaking all over again.

I couldn't stand that five song series... I actually painfully watched a portion of it, but I had to change the channel lest my ears threaten to secede from my body.

In the conclusion part, the lyrics deteriorate in constant and confusing name shouting: "Rufus said Cathy! Cathy said Rufus! Chuck said Rufus! Cathy said Chuck!" And then I, myself, was 'like' "What the heck is going on?"

I really wonder sometimes if R. Kelly is retarded.

YAD nailed it as far as R.Kelly's "performance". The VMAs have sucked badly for quite some time now.
